Terms of Service

The rules of the service, in plain words: what Vybz provides, what stays yours, and what we expect of you.

Last updated: 11 September 2026

The service

Vybz is a life-timeline app published by [[Entity name]] (see the legal notice). It lets you record moments — with their dates, places, photos and documents — on life lines, revisit them as a timeline, on maps and in Flows, and share them with the people you choose.

By creating an account you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

Your account

An account is personal: one person, one account. You must be at least 15, or have the agreement of a parent or guardian.

Your credentials are managed by our sign-in provider, Clerk. You are responsible for keeping them private and for everything done from your account; tell us straight away if you think it has been compromised.

Acceptable use

You use Vybz within the law and with respect for other people's rights. You may not post unlawful content, infringe anyone's privacy or image rights, impersonate anyone, try to reach other people's data, or interfere with the service.

Vybz is a personal space, not a broadcasting platform: sharing is designed for a circle of people close to you, and we may limit a use that plainly departs from that.

Your content

Everything you add to Vybz stays yours. You grant us only the limited, non-exclusive licence we need to host it, make thumbnails of it, back it up and show it — to you, and to the people you share it with. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups, which clear themselves within 30 days.

You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to the photos and documents you add, and the agreement of the people who appear in them when you share them.

Sharing

You decide what you share, with whom, and for how long; you can revoke access at any time. People you share a moment with can add their own photos and comments, which belong to them and stay on the moment if they leave the service.

An invitation link is single-use and expires after 30 days. Pass it only to the person it is meant for.

Plans

Vybz offers a free plan and two paid plans, Plus and Pro, which unlock extra features (documents, unlimited life lines, batch import, certain moment types). What each plan includes is shown in the app.

Price, duration, payment terms and the right of withdrawal are stated when you subscribe. A plan that lapses makes its features unavailable for creating new things but deletes nothing: everything you recorded stays readable and editable.

Availability and liability

We do our best to keep Vybz available and your data safe — encryption, daily backups kept for 30 days — but the service is provided as is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Keep a copy of what is precious to you: "Download my data" exists for that.

To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage and cannot exceed the amounts you paid us over the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits the rights the law guarantees you as a consumer.

Ending the contract

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Privacy & data; deletion is immediate and final.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, after telling you and giving you a chance to respond, except in an emergency or where the law requires it. We may also stop running the service; you will be told at least three months ahead so you can retrieve your data.

Changes

We may change the service and these terms. A significant change will be flagged in the app with reasonable notice; continuing to use Vybz after that notice counts as acceptance. If you disagree, you can delete your account.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If we disagree, write to us first: most problems are settled in one exchange.

If you are a consumer, you may use free of charge the consumer mediator we belong to: [[mediator name and contact details]], or the European online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Failing agreement, the competent courts are those designated by the French Code of Civil Procedure.
